Privacy Statement

Any information you submit here is intended to be published publicly and may be distributed to one or more federated servers (other instances of this software, Mastodon servers, or other types of server that are compatible with the ActivityPub protocol.) Do not submit any information that you do not want to be made public.

There is generally no mechanism for direct messages between users on the Fediverse to be accessed by any individual, but be aware that many Fediverse instances are operated by people with direct access to the raw database. It is not impossible for a malicious operator to access direct messages and read their contents, so we recommend that you do not discuss financial or personal information in any direct message. If you need to do so, we recommend you merely exchange contact details for a more secure means of communication, e.g. actual telephone numbers!
